About California Proposition 65
Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a California law that requires warnings to be provided to California consumers if they may be exposed to chemicals identified by the state of California as causing cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm. There are currently over 950 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list. The warnings are intended to enable Californians to make informed decisions about potential exposures to these chemicals.
